God are you sure that doesn't make sense

God, are you sure? That doesn’t make sense…

It doesn’t make sense, it was never in your plans.  It had never crossed your mind. Or perhaps it had, and it was the last thing you ever wanted. What God is suggesting is downright preposterous. Either way, you’ve prayed, you’ve asked Heaven for direction, and the answer remains the same: “It’s this way, you’ve got to enter this door, you’ve got to complete this mission.” And you say: “God, are you sure? That doesn’t make sense…”

After a while, you finally come to terms with the fact that God’s voice has been loud and clear. But now what? You maybe now find yourself battling your own preconceptions, and on top of that, the preconceptions of others. Feelings of inadequacy invade you. Do I have what it takes? Unbelief knocks at the door and slips a note under it that reads: “what if things don’t work out the way they are supposed to?” Pride maliciously whispers: “Wouldn’t that be embarrassing?” Therefore you ask one more time: “But God, are you absolutely sure? Because this really does not make any sense”

In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.”

Psalm 71:1

Like with Noah, for example; God’s assignments for you won’t always make sense. They sometimes won’t make sense to you, oftentimes won’t make sense to others.  And that’s okay, they don’t have to.  It’s actually a good thing, because it is unequivocal proof of the fact that The One who is assigning the task reigns above and beyond the realm of human logic. Skeptics and scoffers will come and go. However, with such conviction, one can only but rest assured in the knowledge that the same Powerful Being will see things through completion in ways that defy all human possibilities. So all there is left to do is obey and enjoy the ride.
