All movies should have happy endings! Call me a dreamer, but I truly believe this. Every time I watch a movie that ends up not having a happy ending I complain and say: ” Where did my life go just now?!” Then, my mom gets after me for complaining and tells me: ” Honey, life is not like that, you don’t always get happy endings. However, I disagree with her, and I’ll tell you why as you continue reading 😉
You see, there are three basic elements to a movie. The introduction, or as some people call it, the set-up which is the part of the movie where the viewer understands what is happening.
Next is the conflict, which comes along with the confrontation. This part of the movie is where the main character suffers the most. There is a struggle, confusion, decision making, and in some cases; tears, pain and suffering.
However, my favorite part is the resolution. Because, this is where everything falls into place, and everyone gets their happy ending.
I am not sure in which “part of the movie” your life is. You might be at the set-up, trying to understand many things in your life that still don’t make sense. Or maybe, you are at the confrontation stage. Maybe, things for you at this point seem all bad and like they are not getting any better. You are probably suffering, crying and in pain.
But let me tell you something, pain is not forever, and your happy ending is coming.
An amazing promise in Romans 8:28 says so, and I believe it.
” And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose. ” -Romans 8:28 KJV
Soon, very soon, we will all get our happy ending. A happy ending that not even the best Hollywood movie could possibly replicate.
“I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
–Revelation 21: 2-4 NIV
Now this is a great happy ending; as a matter of fact, my favorite one! So, hold on tight because your happy ending is on its way!
