“Los Caminos de la Vida” is a Spanish song my friends and I have as an inside joke, but the song actually carries a deep message.
It tells the story of a son singing to his mother about how he didn’t know life would be so tough, and how he now appreciates his mother so much more.
The song is called ” Los Caminos de la Vida” or “The ways of life” because we don’t know where life is taking us next. Which is why we need to let God lead us and take charge of our life.
Have you ever felt like every plan you make falls into pieces? Like every door you knock or try to open gets closed and it feels like a slap in your face? Perhaps you feel confused and don’t know where to go because “all doors have been shut”.
Maybe all you want is a little ray of hope. Any sign really, so you can take on that path and start a new journey.
Perhaps you are feeling stagnant. Maybe you are feeling stuck in a dark void. You are probably thinking that you are never getting out of it. And that is why I am here to tell you that there is hope.
You may not feel God at times, but it is at your darkest moments when you need to claim His promises the most.
“For I know the plans I have for you declares the lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
-Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
When you don’t feel like praying…pray! and when you don’t feel like reading His word… read it!
Even though, you don’t want to pray by praying you are confronting God in your darkest moments, and by doing so, you will get a sense of clarity.
It’s better to be with God than without Him. Because you can share your tears with Him. Today I just want to encourage you to reach out for Jesus, even if you can’t feel Him.
He is there for you.
