Protecting your energy

Do you want to protect your energy? Don’t tell anyone.

You’ve probably heard this advice before. Whether it’s about a job opportunity, a new relationship, a creative project, or something you’ve been praying for, there’s often that quiet fear that speaking it aloud might attract the wrong attention—or worse, someone’s bad vibes.

I must admit, I used to believe that too. But over time, God has taught me something powerful: fear shouldn’t guide my faith.

Good energy, bad energy

Yes, it’s true—envious people exist. Some are genuinely uncomfortable with your joy or success. The Bible is full of stories like that: Daniel, Joseph, David—children of God who faced intense envy and opposition.

But here’s the truth: if we truly believe God is sovereign, then no human “energy” can stop what He’s doing in our lives. Not even close.

A donkey, a curse, and an angel

Balak, the king of Moab, was terrified of Israel’s strength. So, he hired a prophet named Balaam to curse them. But God had other plans. Every time Balaam opened his mouth to curse, blessings came out instead. Not once. Not twice. Three times!Numbers 22–24.

Balak tried to stop what God had blessed—but he failed. Because no one can undo the favor of the Lord.

An old lady, an evil man, and a loaf of bread

I once heard a story about a poor, elderly woman who loved to pray by her window. Her grumpy, unbelieving neighbor would mock her constantly.

One day, she prayed aloud for some bread. The neighbor, overhearing her, decided to make fun of her. He threw a loaf of bread through the window to “prove” God wasn’t real.

But when the woman opened her eyes, she saw the bread and praised God, saying, “Thank You, Lord—even when the enemy tries to mock me, You use him to bless me.”

Here is a powerful reminder for you: If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

A matter of balance

This doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be wise about what we share or when. But we can’t let fear make decisions that faith is supposed to lead. Wisdom is Spirit-led. Fear is bondage.

You’re not walking through life uncovered—you’re covered by grace and surrounded by favor. Your plans may not always unfold the way you imagine, but the promises of God are never fragile.

He doesn’t need your silence to protect His will. He wants you to have faith. So speak life. Walk boldly. And remember: no one can curse what God has already blessed.

“No weapon formed against you shall prosper… This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord.”
Isaiah 54:17
